A third of our workforce are now over 50 and there are twice as many people aged 65 years and over in employment in Scotland today compared to 10 years ago. This number is set to rise as changes to retirement and state pensions make working beyond 65 more common.
How can Age Scotland help?
Age Scotland is the national charity for older people. We are experts in the whole spectrum of age-related issues and are uniquely positioned to provide organisations with independent, practical and legislatively accurate information to help create a workplace culture that is open, inclusive and positive about the benefits of age diversity.
Age Scotland’s Age Inclusive Workplace workshops are interactive and informative sessions. Based on insights from both employers and employees, our workshops capture best practice from the most forward-thinking organisations and cover a range of topics.
We are delighted to be able to offer two of our workshops in an engaging virtual format whilst face to face sessions aren’t possible. This allows attendees to access the workshops from any location that suits them.
Planning For Your Future
Our pre-retirement planning workshops help employees over the age of 50 to prepare for later life.
With expert facilitators in money matters, tax, legal issues, health & well-being and the opportunities available in retirement, our workshops cover many aspects in preparing for retirement and are recommended by 98% of attendees.
Our next virtual open workshop takes place on 19th & 21st August with another on 6th & 8th October. Find out more here.
As our workforce ages, more people will experience symptoms of dementia while in employment or be affected by dementia in some way. As well as raising awareness of dementia in the workplace, our Dementia Awareness workshop can help organisations to support employees and customers living with or caring for someone with dementia.
