Age Scotland is the national charity for older people. We work to improve the lives of everyone over the age of 50 so that they can love later life.
Sadly, right now, older people are facing unimaginable challenges such as loneliness, poverty, ill health and lack of adequate health and social care.
Covid-19 has created challenges for everyone, but older people are amongst the hardest hit. More older people than ever are lonely, isolated and scared. Scared about becoming ill and worried about how they will cope if they are on their own.
While the rest of us take steps to return to some degree of normality, for the oldest and most vulnerable people this is still a long way off. This is having a devastating impact on their mental health and well-being, exacerbating loneliness and isolation.
Age Scotland is there to help.
We support hundreds of community groups across Scotland, provide information and advice through our free helpline and publications and tackle loneliness and isolation with our friendship line and community connecting service.
We work to influence policy makers and run campaigns to make Scotland the best place in the world to grow older. We help organisations to create age friendly workplaces where older workers feel supported. We stand up and speak for all those who have reached later life and also protect the long-term interests of future generations.
Partner with us and we can ensure that older people receive the information, advice and support they need.
However you choose to work with us, we are dedicated to ensuring it’s the perfect partnership to fit your organisation whilst also helping you to support our work!
