Overview
Element Materials Technology is currently looking for an HR Business Partner to be based in the North West. Our new HR Business Partner will be supporting our Energy & Environmental business unit across the UK.
Our new HR Business Partner will provide full employee-life cycle HR support for several laboratories in the execution of high quality, consistent HR processes such as Talent Acquisition & Onboarding, Objective Setting & Performance Management, Learning & Talent Development, Total Rewards, and cost-effective workforce planning.
As a member of the regionalised HR Team, the HRBP will participate and collaborate on strategic and tactical HR projects that will help support the laboratories in executing their top business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Partners with the local laboratory General Managers and their management teams to provide HR direction, build high performing teams, and infuse a culture of career and leadership development across the laboratories
- Partner with business unit Divisional Director on a day to day basis
- Implements and monitors a variety of human resource programs and processes
- Manages employee programs to ensure compliance with policies and practices
- Implements HR policies and procedures, including grievance procedures and exit interviews
- Resolves employee questions, concerns and grievances
- Provides customer-focused support to address all HR related issues and concerns
- Proactively communicate with the General Managers, department managers, and employees
- Grows the talent pool by hiring and retaining top talents in each laboratory
- Supports employee engagement initiatives and implements programs to ensure ongoing improvements
- Ensures positive, compliant, productive employee relations environment
- Proactively interfaces with local works counsels
- Maintains accurate employee information, monitor and act on key HR metrics
Skills / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Law, Organisational Behaviour or related field from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
- Client-based HR experience across multiple sites, partnering leaders and supporting multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated track record of HR business partnership and HR operations / Shared Services role
- Ability to operate in a high pressure, fast paced environment
- Prior experience working with TUPE and negotiating personnel changes
- M&A experience is significantly advantageous
- Strong knowledge of UK labour law
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages including Word and Excel
- Willingness and ability to travel ~20%
