Who We Are
Whyte & Mackay was founded on the docks of Glasgow in 1844 by James Whyte and Charles Mackay, who had a mission to create a truly Scottish blended whisky. This partnership laid the foundations for the company’s continued growth over the next century, with the company now producing and distributing some of the most highly-awarded and respected whisky and spirit brands.
Our multi award winning portfolio of brands include four internationally recognised Single Malt Scotch Whiskies: The Dalmore, Jura, Fettercairn and Tamnavulin as well as the flagship Whyte & Mackay Blended Whisky, The Woodsman, Shackleton Blended Malt Scotch Whisky and Wildcat Gin and Wildcat Vodka to name a few. We also distribute Flor de Caña, Camus and RumChata in the UK.
We have an exciting opportunity for a creative Learning & Development Business Partner to join our fast paced HR team on a 6-month FTC. What You’ll Be Doing
You will be responsible for leading a transformational project to develop, plan and deliver a Line Manager Development Programme. You will work across the business, with an initial focus on our Supply Chain team, to build insight into existing levels of line manager capability against future requirements, identifying organisational skills gaps, risks and accounting for a virtual/digital environment.
We’re looking for someone who….is an experienced L&D professional from a manufacturing or supply chain background with previous experience of end to end creation of line managers development programmes. Your inquisitiveness, digital mind set and desire to experiment with new ideas and techniques will be the key drivers to your success. You’ll be a natural collaborator, comfortable engaging at all levels including senior managers and your coaching style will inspire credibility, competence, respect, and authority. Your passion for supporting people to learn and grow will shine through and you won’t be afraid to challenge people’s thinking.
